the story of the girl fills the picture with meaning, thanks
I love seeing loving seeing an artist take an artistic nude in a new direction. I think often times, especially in portraits of women, the focus with the body is on the erotic possibility, which is usually portrayed in a subjective way (ie: her sexuality is shown as it affect others, not herself). This is fine in it's own right, but your piece here is both lovely and refreshing. The model also owns this space so completely. Despite being marginalized spacially, despite being black and white, she fills up the picture, and these choices allow that strength to really show. Great work!
Normally I don't comment on photos like these, but even if it isn't original (Hence the comments below...) I still do enjoy the black and white effect. I also like how it appears to be grainy, somewhat like an older photograph...? Either way, it's a pretty piece.
well the film I used was of a pretty inferior quality hence the whole "old-looking" effect. And thanks for commenting, as nowadays not many people do and I absolutely appreciate it!
I LOVE THIS STYL........
Naked woman with a black-and-white filter. Originality.
true. so true. I originality has issues with appearing among people these days.
Complaining about a millennial old art form. Originality....
I like the way the grainy effect softens the texture of the wall.
it could be just a bad photo... but the psychiatric effect is great
It seems the nipples on the wall are similar to the nipples on the woman. This is nice in black and white. The pose suits a B&W print. The panel behind the woman is distracting. I like the soft focus. This would be interesting if printed with a blurr effect.
very nice grunge (not regarding the woman herself)
i love the contrast
so stark and raw....
i dont get it ...
this is beautiful
Congrats on the Daily Deviation!
Very reminiscent of Jan Saudek's piece, Knife
its good little soft focus bt good
